BIG BLUE SURF CENTER. INFORMATION: The Big Blue Surf Center is the premier Windsurfing and Kite surfing Center on Kos Island, and is situated on the beach in front of the 5* Natura Park Village Hotel.Located in Psalidi, just 5 km from Kos town, the center is well known for the Meltemi wind which blows side shore from the left almost every day during the summer season.The spot is well known as the windiest on the island and further out the wind can create swell up to 1m high, great for freestylers and intermediate / advanced riders.We have the latest Windsurfing, Kite surfing and SUP equipment for you to enjoy. Whether freestyle, slalom, speed or free riding, we have the right setup on the beach. Our experienced team is happy to advise you and help you with any questions you may have! LESSONS: Starting off is easy in small groups and with special training equipment; even children can easily learn to windsurf and kite surf with us.Water starts, smooth jibes and cool freestyle manoeuvres will no longer be a secret to you – we will take care of it! Our VDWS and RYA approved windsurfing, and IKO kite surf instructors are ready to make you a better surfer, with lessons from complete beginner to advanced freestyle tuition.Additionally for two weeks every September we host the FBC Windsurf Camps with the dream team Tom Brendt and Yoli De Brendt, Fanatic Trainer and Fanatic Pro Rider. THE CENTER: For the ultimate surf trip, the most current material of our top partners Fanatic boards, North Sails and North Kite boarding is ready and waiting for you. With over 80 current 2010/2011 boards and over 130 sails, there is enough for everybody!Whether freestyle, speed or free riding, we have the right setup at the Big Blue. Our experienced team is happy to advise you and help set up your equipment to make sure you have as much fun as possible. We also offer secure storage if you bring your own kit, and you still get all the benefits of our awesome spot, experienced staff and safety rescue. SAFETY: The Big Blue Surf Center has its own emergency rescue service constantly observing the water and performing quick routine rescues using our power boat.We also carry life jackets and helmets for those that want them and we stock additional safety gear to buy from our shop including windsurf helmets, gloves and windsurf shoes.
